We look weird

"There are still many prejudices, a lot of discrimination, in many cases we look a little weird, they think we are thieves and has a lot to see how we dress as we are poor and therefore think otherwise "(Jorge, 44 years old Afro)

Racism as social political phenomenon, it remains a permanent reality in our country, during school, the street, the workplace, the media, at every moment and stage of our lives, customs, dress, speech, manner of dress, dance and feel, we have given in the line of "others."

We have learned to live, smile and survive - but perhaps this model is the country we want? - Diversity and inclusion are basic conditions for living in a democracy?. Peru is perhaps not identified as a democratic country?. Certainly not the country we want, we still lack democratic and democratized, relate equally and with respect, diversity and greet us large.

We have the enormous challenge of building a country where human rights do not have to be met, which features "racial ethnic" do not result in fundamental conditions for access to law and justice and are not the main element identity, while remaining "others", "other", which still have to analyze, challenge and question the discrimination as women, black and poor.

As Alfonso said Guimares dispense more race when there are no racial identities, when inequalities, discrimination and social hierarchies actually do not correspond to markers derived more race.

The Peruvians have much to do, question and demand. JOIN AGAINST RACISM is a proposal, a campaign that aims to be forcefully and loudly, that racism exists and is a major cause of underdevelopment, poverty, violence and exclusion. JOIN AGAINST RACISM, is a positive proposal, creative and needs you, your voice, your story, your smile, your commitment, your desire for an inclusive and diverse country ... we are in season and only missing you!. Endorracismo / Autorracismo

Endorracismo / Autorracismo In
black population.

is important to note that the autorracismo Afro-Peruvian population has a profound relationship with what we call the "process of bleaching", ie the removal of all that is identified with African descent, the "negation of the condition black race. "

"for many years I heard my grandmother to be improved race, and that meant we should look for a cholo or mestizo, a man more clearly than I to improve the race" (Nancy, 43 years).

"I feel that people who have darker features rough pass very wrong, in fact the less black better "(Luis, 43 years).

"Sometimes when I go out and hit me with a black want to say hello and often turns, I think for roche, others not, but it kind of sad because I am proud to be black and feel that they are all my family, and black women is much worse, them or look "(Bryan, 15). Undoubtedly

race and "color force" in African-American population is an important element, recognized as part of ethnic identity, something like "black pride." But at the same time, there seems to be a situation of rejection or marginalization (Benavides Martin). We believe that this process is the result of permanent exclusion seems to give the message that "the more light the better." Without doubt, the Peruvian population, as we have stated before, is profoundly discriminatory, which has generated that racism is a central issue for people of African descent. Meanwhile, looking for evidence to joining the national popular culture, seeking to overcome prejudices and stereotypes that deepen inequalities and extrapolate the differences.

In this context, there is a direct responsibility of the State in these matters, since the visibility and recognition of racism because, as mentioned Benavides, how will legislate what is not recognized as a problem?.

is important to know your opinion on the subject, we hope your comments.
