In Peru it is estimated that the percentage of black population is roughly between 5 and 8% of the total population We can not talk because there are no official figures in the country, surveys and indicators that can determine the actual percentage of this sector of the population demonstrating their needs and emergencies. The absence of public policies and affirmative actions aimed at Afro-Peruvian and are severely limited by the absence of official data. Without doubt, the structural racism in the context described their best examples.

Indeed symbolic and structural racism in the country, can be simultaneously and further exclusion and discrimination in their very different versions. We still see with indignation and concern that the media continue to reinforce a series of prejudices and negative stereotypes oriented Afro-Peruvian population.

Although discrimination on racial issues has been denounced by human rights organizations working with Afro-Peruvian population, the status of women in a situation deepens greater exclusion. Indeed, not only are afroperuanas subordinated as a result of gender but also on grounds of race and class. Without doubt, the slave system and colonization have led to a greater context of exclusion and prejudice, the discourse and invisible subalternized their struggles and contributions.

black women have been feminists, who called attention to the urgency of looking and analyzing the discourse of women's oppression, the need to demonstrate that not all women are equal and it was necessary to recognize the difference, to understand the demands and build from a new discourse which make visible to all women. In this context it is important to recognize that racism affects us differently, as any action that seeks to address its impact should be considered from a gender perspective, taking into account the most vulnerable.
The July 25 Day of black women, strongly urge the State and its institutions, the need for diagnostics and indicators that illustrate the real situation of Afro-Peruvian women, and the urgent need for public policies aimed at this sector of the population, to shorten the gap of inequality and inequity. Development will not be possible, therefore, access to education, decent employment without discrimination, and health among other fundamental rights remain unmet demands or heard by the State.

Afro-Peruvian women reject the speech victimizer and we translate them into political subject capable of generating new conditions of development, but also with the necessary visibility to demand loud and clear, not more rights but the same standards of fairness and opportunity for all.
